One hundred years ago a country garden was established in the cool mountain air of Blackheath... Elizabeth & Colin Jacobson, welcome you to Parklands, their 28 acre heritage property which adjoins the Blue Mountains' National Park in Blackheath. The splendour of Parklands is almost overwhelming as you drive through the sweeping gates leading off Govetts Leap Road. The driveway, lined with old pines and cypresses which were planted over one hundred years ago, takes you past glorious flower beds and sweeping green lawns to reveal luxury garden cottages in traditional Blue Mountains' weatherboard style. An atmosphere of peace and tranquillity reigns in this intimate and secluded country retreat, to which guests return again and again, spreading its reputation as one of the Blue Mountains' premier destinations. Garden Suites feature an entrance lobby leading into a sitting room which opens up onto a private garden patio. The separate bedroom with ensuite has a large bay window overlooking the gardens. One of the Garden Suites is equipped with a handicapped bathroom. Upstairs deluxe air-cotiditioned Loft Rooms have a private entrance and staircase. The open plan style features raked ceilings with a balcony overlooking the rhododendron gardens. With the co-operation of guests, units are non smoking. |
